The blog I wrote about Amy Winehouse earlier this month was published in the current issue of Frontiers IN LA magazine, which made me very happy. I had to beef it up a bit and make some minor adjustments, but the gist is the same. In retrospect, I wish I had established that saying yes to rehab is probably why I’m still clean and sober today. Could’ve/should’ve.
Coincidentally, when Frontiers hit the stands, news reports also have emerged that drugs were not found in her system at the time of death. They did however find traces of alcohol. It makes me glad I never joined the she-died-of-a-drug-overdose bandwagon, although who can blame anybody for going there? Whatever the cause of death, I’m sure the lifestyle didn’t help. A few more weeks will tell the tale of her final hours.
Anyway, below is a pdf link to the final piece.
