I have been asked to take part in a West Hollywood community discussion on sex, meth and GHB, being led by Councilmember John Duran.

The event is happening tonight, starting at 7pm at the West Hollywood Auditorium.  I join my recovery brothers Jeffrey Drew, Greg Howell and the one and only Kathy Watt, the program director at the Van Ness Recovery House, which is my ground zero for recovery.  That woman saw me a sticky hot mess at day one over seven years ago.

You best BELIEVE I’m nervous as all hell.  I’m not that big on speaking in public–especially with a camera in my face.  I just hope I don’t choke from stage fright (a sponsor once told me, “Uh, sweetie…[whispering) it’s not a stage.”)

I will try my damdest (not a real word, I know) to remember that it’s not about me, it’s not about me, it’s not about me…

The event should be interesting.

I hope you all can attend.

Luv,
Me
