FRONTIERS MAGAZINE – THE PRIDE ISSUE 2013
The Pride issue of Frontiers Magazine hit the newsstands yesterday. It’s like their biggest issue of the year, so you best believe a lot of work goes into this fucker, so you best grab yourself a copy like NOW!
The band Gossip graces the cover, highlighting plus size punk goddess Beth Ditto (she say’s she’s “punk” so I say she’s “punk” just to be polite, but there’s a lot of pop in her work). Every bitch I know is like, “Who’s Beth Ditto?” And, “Isn’t Gossip some sort of show about a girl?” And I’m like, “Bitch, please.”
I have to be honest with you, I didn’t know who Beth Ditto was either until she performed a cover of Madonna’s Vogue in nothing but a bra and panties at some club. Of course, video footage went viral and the big dark-haired girl singing and voguing in her underwear earned M’s stamp of approval.
The M connection aside, I downloaded my first Beth Ditto ditty about a year ago. It was actually very organic. I was listening to some random free online radio on iTunes and this song came on called “I Wrote the Book.” I liked it. So I bought it. Then I made the M connection and thought good for her.
Now she graces the cover of Pride 2013 on Frontiers Magazine. The cool kidz know who she is. The ones who are on the slow train are bound to find out … kind of like I just found out that she’s in a band called Gossip.
So step right up to pick up your latest issue of Frontiers Magazine. And while you’re at it, check out the WeHo Hot Topic page. It will totally change your life.
Luv,
Me

I Wrote The Book
I put you up, I treat you well
Tell you secrets I never tell
We pretend, it’s all ok
But there’s one thing we never say
The world is full of good intentions
Paradise is hard to find
Say they love you but fail to mention
Who they were with again last night
Revenge, regret, I wrote the book
Forgive, forget, I wrote the book
Keeping secrets, I wrote the book on it, don’t test me
Heartbreak and then some,
Tell me where is a friend when you need one
Before you take a second look
Remember I know every trick in the book
It never stops around the clock
When I’m there, you speak so soft
The runaround will wear you out
You break it off, I’ll break you down
The world is full of good intentions
Paradise is full of lies
Tell you they love you but fail to mention
Who they were with again last night
Cheating, sneaking, I wrote the book
Begging, pleading, I wrote the book
Lying, crying, I wrote the book on it, don’t test me
Heartbreak and then some, tell me where is a friend when you need one
Before you take a second look, remember I know every trick in the book
(repeat)
I wrote the book, I wrote the book, I wrote the book on it, don’t test me
I wrote the book on it, don’t test me now
I wrote the book on it
